VIDEO TIE DYE FOR

Beeing all in the mood for spring and rather ready to dip more then toes in the water, it was just right to fall upon and share this video by Proenza Schouler from spring 2010. 

The tie dye and printed T's by the brand have evolved for each collection and have become as important as what the brand presents for every new season. 

With a simple setting and muse/friend/assistant stylist, Vanessa Traina as model - standing still, the wind blowing in her hair, the open view of the sea, the water coming up on the beach -  one can almost get the scent of spring air...

A long weekend is on flock... with a 17th special.

NEWS IN STORE STELLA MCCARTNEY

MA has received the fashion line from Stella McCartney's spring 2011 collection.

Following previous seasons is the coveted Blazer jackets and pants that for many of the flockers are the epitome of a tailored suit.

This summer collection is a large collection. MA's selection has been from every part. Taking the tailored aspect of McCartney's work, the romantic dresses & the basic line of beautiful knitted sweaters and much much more.

From a flocker to flocker... fly, fly as we all want new feathers à la Stella for spring.

FEEL'N THE HEAT

The summer is near and one can feel the heat building up & with the heat building up comes the need for a dip in the water. 

Though the water here in the north is not yet warm enough one can look forward when seeing a moment like this.

INSPIRATION

There is a constent search for new materials, designs and interiors as well as inspiration for the concept of the MA/themaflock group.

The last one, inspiration, we nurture on travels, often during fashion weeks and of course through books & art and whatever more that would & could inspire.  But it seems it is often by mistake or after a several hours search that one stumbles upon what one was searching for. 

And then there is the grand surprises where one enters a world of delights from a time before, revived by todays lightning & installastions...

RICK OWENS spring 2011

This american brand is one of the strongest growing brands in the store of MA09. The brands coveted leather jackets are on thing, but there is all the rest as well. Every piece in the collection is an item one feels comfortable in. A rare aspect often from a brand or line of this quality and level. 

The latest collection for spring 2011 by Rick Owens continued the more soft feel & lighter palette. It is an interesting change and one that seems to come naturally as Owens is growing and his brand is evolving.
